How we think about it
Books shouldn't sit on a shelf looking clever. They should be opened, scribbled in, folded over, and kept close.
Our principles

Useful first
Every title earns its place. If you can't describe what it's for in one sentence, we haven't finished designing it.
ii.
Built to be used
Good paper, lay-flat binding, ink that doesn't bleed. If you're going to hold it for a year, it should hold up.
iii.
Made in small batches
We'd rather print a thousand books right than ten thousand rushed. Short runs, thoughtful reprints.
